India’s 5th Largest Killer – Air Pollution

According to a Wall Street Journal Blog Post (February 2014), in 2010, outdoor air pollution contributed to over 620,000 premature deaths in India.  This represents the 5th largest killer in the country, per the author.  During one interview the author notes that there are a hoist of related air pollution disorders such as stokes, lung cancer and respiratory infections that can be traced to pollution from various combustion engines in the manufacturing and transportation processes of consumer goods.
